Goodbye 2015 and good riddance!
Finally we approached the end of this crappy year. Well, the last few months were not that bad, but I think the first few definitively were enough for considering this one of our worst years.
The last few days were not too hectic, fortunately. Matt had to work pretty much the whole Christmas break, so Keegan and I spent a lot of time together. He was pretty good overall, even “allowing” me to take afternoon naps, which were very necessary, since he brought home some nasty virus. buycbdproducts course he overcame it in a day, but I got a massive cold that lasted more than two weeks. Blahhh…2015 gave me one last gift!
The weekend after Christmas was nice and quiet. We went to the beach for a while, but even if it was sunny, it was very windy, so we did not stay long. It was still long enough to get our fill of sun and beautiful ocean.
The week went by fast, also thanks to a playdate with Ezra and Quinn at the Natural History Museum. The kids ran wild, but at least they entertained themselves. Their favorite part: riding the over-sized Dung Beetle of course.
When I got home, my ears were ringing, and I was so exhausted, from the cold and the kids, that I took a nice, long nap.
We finished the year with a bang. Matt still had to work, but at least only for half day, so Keegan and I got everything ready and clean for the evening. Keegan’s biggest contribution: he took a nap, so I could clean and prep undisturbed. (-: Dave and Jennifer came over to celebrate the end of the year. It was so nice to have friends over. We decided on a meat fondue, so we had plenty of time for chatting and eating. Keegan had some food with us as well, and enjoyed the company.
We watched the New York Ball drop live at 9pm with Keegan, wishing him Happy New Year, and putting him to bed and then went back to OUR party.
Time goes by fast when you are having fun, and midnight was upon us before we knew it. We watched the Ball drop, again, and cheered the new year with sparkling cider for the boys, and champagne for the girls.
Dave and Jennifer stayed for another hour or so, and we ended up in bed by 2am! I don’t even remember the last time I was up so late (not counting the ER visit). We felt so young and vibrant.
So, here it is. 2015 is finally over. Bye bye, we will not miss you. Welcome 2016!!!
