2009 has started with beautiful weather. It is also unseasonably warm, with highs in the mid 80’s over the weekend. We took advantage of this beautiful sunny days and took Keegan to Mission Bay at the playground. Granted, he is more interested in walking everywhere than playing with the equipment, but while swings don’t really do it for him, slides are a big hit. We let him slide on his own this time, with mom or dad catching him as he went down…most of the times anyway. It was hilarious to watch him turning his scared look into a huge grin once he got down. Matt thinks he is a scare-devil, a thrill junkie like mom. Tizi can’t wait to take him skydiving! Just kidding, but zip lines are a fair game.

Another fun event: Keegan had his first kiss on Saturday. And from an older woman! He was kicking back in the tunnel underneath the slides, playing with the sand and minding his own business, when this cute, 18 months old French Canadian girls walked in, looked at him, and very deliberately bowed down and planted a big, wet one on his lips…for a good couple of seconds. Ah, those French women!!! Sign of things to come???

Tizi and her mom were just bowling over with laughter, while Matt missed the whole thing. Unfortunately we could not record this for posterity and blackmails. Keegan seems more perplexed than anything, but he was grinning a lot afterward. Of course another girl brought him quickly back to reality by throwing sand in his face. I guess she was jealous.  Keegan the heart-breaker (-:

He also got the chance to wear his awesome checkered Vans, (gift of Aunt Mary) which  elicited a few positive comments. Hopefully he is not a future Jeff Spicoli!
