Keeping in touch

Goodbye Green Gators…

…and  hello Blue Dolphins!

Keegan graduated to the next class in his preschool. He is very excited about it and so are we, and not only because the tuition is getting lower.

He had a lot of fun in the Green Gator class, despite a little rough start, with the change of three teachers and he really bonded with his final teacher, Ms. Johnna. She was very good, very sweet and fun, and all the kids just loved her. Good thing Keegan will still see her and play with her. All kids, from 2 years up, play together outside, once the classroom schedule is over.

The new class will be a little more demanding. The new teacher, Ms. Marlena, introduced the curriculum to us during open house: there will be science, and phonics and reading and writing preparation, along with basic motor skills development and a couple of field trips. This sounds like a great plan, and I am looking forward to the progress. Keegan seems very excited about the change: despite the fact that Ms. Marlena is a lot stricter and more of a disciplinarian (which never hurts), 6 of his best friends “graduated” to the blue Dolphins room too. Keegan, Mackenzie, Rozalin, Kelsen, Elliott and Julia are now together. I do feel a little for his teacher, because these kids together can be trouble, and definitely the are a handful! (-: She feels optimistic, though,a bout this class and how much they will accomplish.

So have a good school year, my sweet, little Blue Dolphin.
